Default Finally - Picked it up Sep. 15 - Loving it 100 Km so far

    Hi Guys,

Happy & Excited to be part of this group of riders. Loving the ride so far.
Took me since June but I finally got it. Picked it up Sat. Sep 15 (yesterday)- It's great - only to get better. Everyone who responded to my other posts - Thank you - You guys were and are a great help.

Have some Mods in mind like raising handle bars, louder pipes and new grips but who knows how long this list will get. I will work on it a little at a time - M109R lifer.

When I hit the 1000km mark then I'll start.
I like to start by debaflling the stock pipes - then later once I've learned a litlle more about the bike and all my choices of pipes like Cobra or VH I'll decide. I'm just outside of Toronto (GTA) so if anyone has done this especially from the area please let me know.

Also if you guys have any suggestions on pipes (the louder the better) or any mod that I mentioned or that you think I should defintely consider please feel free to let me know.

Again guys thank you for all your help.

Hopefully I learn alot and one day I can have my suggestions for the new M109 rider.

    Thanks
    David

    Keep on Riding!!!!

Ditto on the Congrats.. you mention to state any mods you think people here think you should do.... there a saying that states.. careful what u ask for.. and in this case.. what shouldn't you mod.. the thing with these Bikes is that they are like Tattoos...
Once you do one mod.. you start counting days till you do the next and the next...

But one thing I do say.. and again similar to tattoos.. Make it YOUR OWN... we all have our tastes of what we like better but its YOUR bike.. do what YOU want..
    that being said... you should......
Put on Risers, Chromed rims (or aftermarket rims 1") 300 rear if you get 10" rims... 260 if you don't, 160 Front tire, underside rear brake mod, Chrome everything, LED lights, Halo light, De-beaver, De-badge, Vstream windshield, Sissybar, Change Grips, change Pegs, Put on Crash Bars, Change Air Intake (or duck mod the stock), either Power Commander or similar (then Dyno) , Change Pipes, Lower bike (lowering Bones), Custom Paint job, and don't forget to change your Oil after 600 miles, (btw .. you should do this yourself and save the dollars for the mods Plus its the first easy thing to do to start getting acclimated with your new Bike..
and.. all this is just my opinion...
But the one thing you MUST do.... is ride safe my brudda... good luck with your new "toy"

again and on the new scoot! I love the new LE colors. I just got mine back from the shop and glad with my mods.

I just put Vance and Hines big shots on and they sound awesome! Loud when on the throttle and quiet when cruising. They also have another baffle to make it louder if you wish. Good luck with the future mods! Lots of info on this forum. Drive safe and enjoy the rest of your riding season, i use to live in Buffalo, NY and traveled to Toronto quite a bit. Very unique city!
"Do a few mods they said......It will be fun they said!" My wallet is not seeing the fun as they said! lol
