Default Ready For The Ride...Chicago to Toronto

Well me n the lady will be getting ready to hit the road come Thursday Midnight. 559 Miles to Toronto on the 9...I guess that will get us prepped next year for Sturgis all 16hrs of it! Anyway I just did all the fluids literally minus the fork oil...and Im kinda weary about it even though the bike has only 12k on it, its still an 06 so not sure how the fluid will be but no leaks or anything so I should be fine I guess. The Rally Packs kinda sucked to get on but they def feel sturdy on the OEM backrest and rack so hopefully our clothes wont be all over the road . Tires are new brake pads are new all around, its just the damn fork oil...it drives me crazy knowing thats the only untouched thing. and I dont have time to flush it tomorrow and imma be resting all day after work Thursday to prep for the ride...Anyway I hope its a good safe one, Has anyone else done a 500+ mile trip on one of these??

Default Sounds like you're ready to roll

500 miles is a piece of cake for this bike...wind will be the biggest issue you have
If you are coming in on the 401 from Detroit ,try to avoid 3-6 pm entering the GTA

Have a great stay in Toronto and ride safe !!

How long will you be staying in Toronto? There's lots of stuff to see and do.

I-94 is rough between Detroit and Pt Huron, but the change of scenery is a bonus. Taking the 401 from Windsor to London is a big snoozer as it is just farm land for all of that stretch and speed traps around Chatham....

its always nice to visit family. Have a safe trip might want to bring your rain gear though, calling for some unsettled weather on the weekend.
