    Default Arnotts leak fixable?

I have a leak around the shock cap end. As shown by the bubbles on the left edge of the shock. Can I replace the seal / o ring or what ever is in there? Thanks for all your help in advance Click image for larger version.

Can only try! Did you use thread tape when you screwed it in ?

It's not leaking from the quick connect, it's leaking around the edge of the shock. The white around the qc is gas pipe sealer, if you look just above and left of the qc you will see the bubbles.

If you are referring to where the bladder is mounted to the housing, that's a defect in the shock. It will need replacement.

Also with the voss fittings that come with the kit it is not necessary to use Teflon tape or sealer on them. They are not pipe thread. They seal with the o-ring. I have no Teflon on any of mine and they don't leak. You just have to tighten them gently. Better to be on the looser side and if you have a leak you can snug em a little more. Overtightening will damage the o-ring.

It's not leaking from the place you put the vos connector, it is leaking around the outer edge of the shock tube.

    Hey Steve,
Try contacting Bill Markley at Arnotts.
Found him helpful when I had issues.

From what I can see from the photos, it's leaking from the O ring seal. Just replace the O ring and use sealant tape on the threads and don"t overtight the fitting.

Maybe thats the easiest option. But it should be brought to Arnotts attention as this is a brand new unit.

See the bubbles where the bladder and the shock mate?

I understand and see what you're saying. My comment is referring to the suggestion to use Teflon sealer on the fitting threads. That is a waste of material as it will do nothing for it.

If you can see the sealer you should also see that it is not a VOS fitting and has no O ring; hence the sealer and it aint leaking there, so the sealer works.

Thanks BB arrows a brilliant idea I have colored in the crap that is just bubbles from the spray bottle and put the arrows at the bubbles from the leak it is right on the edge of the tube

I have now placed the shock in water and yes bags leaking.

Took pics of it leaking sent them to Bill as with the. Other pics and got a to sad to bad type of reply, even with this,

The pictures dont show the leak unless you know what your looking for. Quote from Bill,

They are chasing 549 for a replacement shock not including postage. I am sure i have seen full kits close to this price. Any suggestions. By the way they also state that this is not a inherent problem with thus product but every where i look people write about this leak. Go figure

So you've shown them proof it leaks, and they're not going to warranty it?

How old is your unit? That's very disappointing to hear.

    Default airbag

Why do I keep hearing of problems with the Arnott system? Always seem to have or get leaks. I would be very hesitant to buy air ride the way it is now. Kind of disappointing. I would like to go that route in the future.

So what exactly are they saying when they are trying to pin the blame on the user? I would think that if the shock is bad they must replace under their 5 year warranty.

What they are saying is that the pics i sent is not good enough, unless i send the the shock for them to test ($100postage) then they will decide if the will replace it. Then i also pay postage back to me even if its warranty replacement. Or purchase a new shock and still pay postage. They are not agreeing that this is a fault with the shock even though everywhere i read the same leak is mentioned, it was a reply of it my fault, they have never had this leak before and bad luck, even for a warranty repair it will cost 200.
