Low & Mean

I am thinking about buying the Busa Radiator Cover for my 9.. I am in the process of ordering the Stealth Fender and chin scoop as part of the group buy from Low & Mean.. but Really like the look of the Busa Cover and scoop, Any thoughts?

Also, I have the Silver 9 ( 2006) other than getting the (very expensive paint) from the dealer, is there any afer market paint that will match, I seem to recall someone saying that there is a spray paint that is almost a perfect match, and help would be greatly appreciated...

The colorrite colors have been spot on for me. Don't forget to get some clearcoat.

They simply sent a dropship order to Low and Mean and the fender and hardware were missing from the shipment. I called Low & Mean and they were great in getting the fender and missing parts sent out to me.

I am in the same boat wanted to get chin chromed but dont think it can be cause of the way it is made so will have to paint I too have an 06 silver looks like 4915 is the paint we need plus clear coat

If you get the Busa cover, does it include the chin, like all one piece or do you still have to buy the chin?

how was the install on the busa cover?

Install was a bit of a pain. Getting the side pieces to line up correctly with the radiator cover is a bit tricky. The left side piece will not fit properly around the tank. The right side piece fits like a glove. I've taken the left piece off several times and did some trimming with the dremel to fit around the left engine guard, but it's still not flush. I finally gave up on it since I'm the only one that seems to be bothered by it.

Placed my order today with Low & Mean.. Busa Cover and Fender.. I can't wait... The Group Buy was AWESOME..Saved me a lot of money, and I appreciate that.. and so far Low & Mean is awesome, 1st time using them, but have heard nothing but great things about them... THANKS!!!!

I have the 06 silver and dupli color has a paint that is dead on I sprayed out side covers and even repaired a dent on my tank with a blend and no one can tell it was repaired when i get home i will send you the code and its only $6 a can

Yes...I sanded with a very fine paper for a good bit. Then hung it from a line so that I could access to all sides. Next, Probably three coats of spray ( which was about the entire can ). Finally I put two coats of clear coat. Much less expensive then having it professionally done and it came out pretty good. The paint from color rite is close but not perfect and the texture is slightly rough compared to the original paint...but does not chip as easily.

Low and mean told me chin can be chromed checked with liquidpain (jerry) and He says it cannot be chromed due to what chin is made of (fiberglass with gel finish) just wanted to let people know so guess it will have to be painted
