My dad hates the 9 :(

Well it's true my dad spent the whole trip to Sturgis hating on the 9. Even though he agrees it's a beautiful bike I don't think he'll ever want to do a road trip in the near future. Everywhere we stopped along the trip; be it a restaurant, rest stop, camp site, anywhere, people wanted to know what my bike was and if I wanted my picture taken with it or if they could get a photo of it. Needless to say no one asked him even once.
There was a point in Yellowstone where we pulled over to walk a trail and he stayed behind with the bikes. When I got back he gave me a hard time and said that he basically sat there and answered questions to every passer by about the 9 for the 45 minutes we were hiking. It drove him completely nuts. I can kind of understand I mean I have less than 10k invested and he's probably got 40k invested and no one even cares about his bike when I'm around.

That's because Harleys are a dime a dozen...everybody and their brother's got one...they're as common as a penny....and every other cleche you use to say they are very uninteresting bikes because there's too many of them....

That's because Harley's with springer front ends and old school flame paint jobs have been done a billion times in the past. It's nothing new. It's just another same ole same ole Harley. A 100% stock M109R is much more unique looking and not a cookie cutter looking cruiser.

My dad's bike is the only bike I've ridden with that gets more attention than the 9. I don't mind, it's a cool bike.
