    Default Sorry...another question about sparkplugs

I had asked this question on my other thread but didn't get an answer...."Ok guys need some more help. I have a place even closer who have plugs buuuuut.... They don't have the CR8EK. They do have CR9EK (and they are only 5 bucks). I know these plugs run colder. My question is would it be wise to use these or should I stick to the 8? The only mods I have is cobra pipes, a FI2000, and a TRE. Would these work or should I get the 8? They will order the 8 in for me but I would have to buy a box of 10 which I don't really need. "

    Thanks for any help

I've heard of guys using the 9s. I don't think it's a big deal. I guess if it were me I'd just pay attention and see if it pings with em. Who knows, maybe you can switch to a lower octane.

I use the 9's, many members have went with the colder plug after installing a tre after they noticed some pining. I would rarely have a ping when I decided to change and all has need good.

I've ran the 9's in mine since the first time I changed them, and I've changed them twice. You won't notice any difference at all. They do help with pinging if you have that, but otherwise they work just as well as the 8's do.

Thanks everyone for the help. It ended up working out REAL good. I got to the dealership today (it is actually a Yamaha dealer) and said I would like 4 of the CR9EK plugs. He retrieved them and came back and totaled it up. He said that will be 70 bucks and some cents.... I said I was here a few days ago and the woman had quoted me $4.50 a piece. As I said it she walked through the door. She said that is what she had quoted me ( I think she had forgotten the K at the end of the number and that is what makes them expensive). He says "Ok that is what she quoted you....that's what you get them for". Grand total 22 bucks and change. For this reason this dealership will get my business because of this honesty. I have actually gotten them to change my tire before. And I saved almost 50 bucks

Thanks again to this awesome forum.

Just run stock plugs. I've got an intake kit, exhaust, fuel controller, and my
bike runs great on the stock plugs. I don't know why people try to over
    complicate things this simple.
