Maybe he likes the looks. That's usually why someone buys something

To the OP, if you go w/ the power pro, make sure their unit will work for a 2012. Their listing only goes to 2011

It is a sweet look. Big-B you seem to have unlimited resources, but some people make choices based on their budget as well.

While this is true, I'm not seeing the connection between your post above and this one.

You can't go wrong with either the PCIII or the PCV.
You could always get a Power Pro and deal with an
inferior product that you'll pay more for, have to
self adjust, and also have to worry about the board going bad.

..... waiting for the board to explode ..... lol

    Default Power Pro Vs PowercommanderIII

This is the only fact I have. These runs are on the same dyno only weeks apart. Everthing on the bike was the same ,with the same dyno technician. Bike ran smooth with both tuners but in this case you can clearly see the PCIII with a custom map made much more power!!!

Power commander V with autotune. I have mine tuned for maximum miles per gallon when under 4000 rpm and under 40% throttle. Above those numbers...Beast mode! And it is super simple to make changes.

What exactly is meant by "autotune"? The PP was supposed to be that just to end up as a semi-automatic with the recent changes to the mother-board. Also, does it require a Dyno with changes to components?

Here's some info for you Adrian.

If you want to know what any tuner is doing, the best way to find out is on a dyno

In all honesty this is like Chinesse to me, Bernie... As much as I'd like to understand it, I have never had a real concept of how engines work or what makes them go. All I know is that they go. The little mechanical inclination I have acquired has been since owning this bike with the assistance of this forum .
