    Default Installing Arnott Airride

In the process of. Doing little by little. Just got it wired up and started playing around with it. Ended up getting the customdynamic remote control. Also noticed that the 1/8 90 fitting i can hear small leak from the quick connect. Going to replace that, anyone know of a High quality Quick connect? Yes i have used thread sealer on the threads.

i just want to make sure i got the best fitting out there. Since i found a leak i started to get a little paranoid on the quality of the fitting and the others. i was also thinking about putting a air/water separator. Has anyone installed one and if so, what one?

Are you talking about the fitting for the 1/4" line? The ones that come w/ the kit are fine. Are you sure the hose is pushed all the way in? You're talking about this right?

    thanks
If you can use a the straight one in it's place, I'll send you this one. I had to buy a package of 5 from Fastenal. They don't sell them in singles here. Or you could get a brass elbow to fit it.

I hope yours doesn't leak. I just sent mine back after installing it. I would recommend before mounting and wiring it up, put the fitting in the gauge, connect it and air it up to about 150 and let it sit for a long while to make sure it doesn't bleed down.

Bernie , are you saying this gauge will leak
I have one on the kitchen counter , ((it's been there for
9 months )) , it is to replace my first gauge that works well
just does not have any lights in it for night time riding.
    ..
for OP the elbow you got from Arnott works well
after you stick the hose in there , push the hose as far "in "
as you can and pull back on the little ring at the end ,
it is the piece that is around your actual plastic hose
and is inside the metal elbow , there is some small play in there
once pulled out ( less than 1/16 inch) it will stay pulled out and
keep your plastic hose planted as far " in " as possible .

Yup, and the leak down was FAST! Put my old gauge back on, no issues.

I did that as well hoping that would correct the issue, no such luck

I have that gauge, no leaks. It seemed to leak down fast at first (before installing air gauge) and it kept leaking down on the way to work. I never checked anything really, and the air system kinda sealed itself. I guess if you pump it up to max psi a few times, maybe it seats the quick connect fittings.

P.S. Looks good, Ian. Way to show off those wheels.

Another thing is the bleed off valve. It can get trash in it and not seat as well as it should. Sometimes a couple of ups and downs blows this trash out and voila no more leaking.
