So what goodies did you get over the holidays?

As for me I got the Powertrip leather jacket that Lamont linked to and got a great deal on it. other than that just kicked back and taking care of my wife and trying to get her healed up.

Christopher on the other hand had a pretty good X-mas. Lets see...Airsoft Sniper rifle, Airsoft shotgun, Airsoft protective gear, a set of collectable hunting knives, GRMS handheld radios (ok so I get to use them too ;) ), leather chaps and about 100 bucks in gift cards & certificates! lol

I spent most of the time kicking back as well. My little boy and girl hauled it in though.

My goodies (other than my new computer) aren't here yet, but I ordered the Vance & Hines Big Shots w/Power Commander. I am currently debating a windshield as I am not sure which is the best one to buy. Any suggestions? I have read all of the posts on here about windshields. Yeah, I still have no idea.

PS. When I settle on the windshield, I'm going to order the engine gaurds as well.

As for windshields....I love my Hellcat. Large enough that it takes the wind pressure off me on the long rides but small enough it doesn't take away from the looks. I also like the V-stream touring shield that Mudslinger and now also Throttle-T have on their bikes. If you want something thats very adjustable and has more coverage then look into the Rifle shield that M109convert has. He was nice enough to let me demo his when he was gone for a bit and I liked the coverage but it was a bit to big for me for my everyday commute and hince my choice to go with the Hellcat.

I love my suzuki engine guards!

Hey Hey all,

I got Jenn out of the hospital for Christmas. She was in the hospital for a bit with a clot in her lung. Scared the be-jesus out of me. She got to come home Christmas Eve and is doing well. I got a tattoo setup for Christmas.....Jenn freaked me out getting it. I have tattooed Bryt my step daughter....was a blast and she is happy. Anyone want a M109 Tatt??? LOL

I haven't decided on what I am going to do with the stock pipes yet. I need to make sure that the BIg Shots are all that and a bag of chips. If they are all I hope them to be, I'll let you have first crack at my stockers? Are you looking for something for your bike?

I'm planning on doing a couple of modified pipes setups and since yours are still bone stock I'd buy yours so if I screw up and don't like what I'm planning on doing I have a set to go back to :)

The buttons used for my backrest and used for my bungie net come with the Jardine Quick disconnect backrest mount but if you don't want to do a backrest ....both Cobra and Kewlmetal make "bungie buttons"...the cobra one's are less expensive than the kewlmetal ones if you go that route :)

Hey Brim I have the bungee knobs that Mtnsnow is referring to if you want them. I also got the quick detach backrest so I don't need the kewl metal ones I have.(I think they're kewl metal, maybe the cobras I forget) Anyhow they look and work great :bigthumbsup:

But I think they might still have some of the slightly blemished ones which is what I got and saved over 60 bucks and cant tell unless you go looking for it as the blemish was on the underside :)

Hey Thanks My9!!!

I did order a new bag and Engine Gaurds since my last post. The bag is the Givi T418. It's the one that is round and sits on your back seat. It also has bungie straps that come down and hook on to the Bungie Buttons that we are talking about. I am not sure if they will include them or not, but if not, I may need to buy yours. Thanks for the offer!

CAN ANYONE KEEP UP WITH MNT???? Answer: NO! :D He keeps the mods coming at too high a pace.

Have you had any trouble with your cobra's and your power commander (can't remember which one you had)? I have a power commander coming with my Big Shots, however; I am nervous about any warranty implication it may cause.

I dont mean to jump in but I think My9 uses the Cobra FI module and not the PC3.

May need your advice when I remove my stockers. Also, did you wire up a dummy plate so you didn't get the FI or check engine light when you put your cobra's on?

I had the dealer do everything for the exhaust since I'mechanically inclined :confused: But I'm sure if you do a search on this site you can find out the info you need if you'll be putting them on yourself.

As far as Mntsnow goes I know :o The man just keeps getting more, and more, and more, and more :joke: :joke:
I think it's great though. If I could do it too I would. As long as he doesn't put a jet engine on or something so we can keep up I think it'll be fine :joke: :D :bigthumbsup: :doorag:

Removing the stockers are pretty easy ;) As for the FI light I personally would suggest the Set Cam sold by DLP for like 16 bucks that way your not altering the wiring harness in any way :)

Well, I may side with My9 on this one. I think I am going to take my new pipes and Power commander to the dealer once it's warm enough to ride it there. That way, at least I will have some kind of back-up if anything goes wrong. It's gonna be a little pricey, but at least I can blame any wiring issues on them.

Wow I don't get to this site often enough anymore. With the baby and my long commute, I really haven't had much time to put into bike stuff. It's sitting in the garage covered with plastic to keep wood chips, etc, off it while we have construction done.

For Christmas...I didn't get anything bike related. In fact, I still haven't found time to do any mods. Right now I'm digging up information on doing the carbs on the show machines hopefully I can figure that out and get out on the ice. We also don't have a ton of $$ for bike or other toy stuff as we just spent nearly $7k on remodeling. I did, however, get a propane smoker so I can learn to smoke meat. Mmmmmmm!
