There will be a ride to benifit the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home home on Augut 11th. I plan on attending this event since I am retired Navy and I that believe in supporting this cause. I hope some of my fellow 9'ers will attend with me. The event is being sponsered by the US Military Vets MC. www.usmvmcsmd.org/HD2

Thanks,

Bill, I'm going on a ride with my crew tomorrow to Ocean City. I will mention the Vet ride and see if some will be willing to support the cause.

Did you already do to OC. I went over to the Eastern Shore yesterday with a few friends to a friends wedding reception. A lot of MC club people were there. Have you talked to or seen V lately?

Bill, was that what your message was about? I just got back from OC and will have company here for another couple of days. I'll try to call you soon.

Hey Bill, how's it going?? If the burple beast is up and running by the 11th, add me to the list. Us vets gotta stick together. :beer3: :beer2: I'm off the 11th and 12th....I'll keep you posted on the "beast" repairs.

Where does this ride start/meet? Charlotte Hall? Would be nice if they'd indicate this on the ad...

What's up PUP? Now that is a really goood question Chief. I am assuming it will start at the Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall. If you are wondering where Charlotte Hall Maryland is well let me tell you. It's between Mechanicsville and Hughesville Maryland. If that does't help, 15 or so miles South of Waldorf on Route 5. Real easy to get there, Wilson Bridge to Maryland exit 7A Route 5 South / Branch Ave. follow to Waldorf and make a left to stay on Route 5 south. Veterans Home is just off of 5 south on the right side. If you come out to play I can meet you some where. Cell 202-345-4922.

Yep, I've seen it while headed to an open firing range down by LaPlata. Not sure what's in store for me on the 11th yet, but if no commitments and no torrential rain, I'd love to come out. Coming out to play is one thing, but adding in a very good cause makes it extra special.

And a good cause it is. Who knows I just might end up there myself one day. I sent out an email and it was confirmed that everything will start off at the Veterans home. I really hope you can make it. Would like to meet you and put a face with the name.

T-Bone sounds like he wont have his bike back, Al has fried clutch, Ryan is scheduled to be in Philly for something, Have not heard from Curtis, Greeseball, Mike, Don or the others. I will be there and hopefully you can make it. From what I am hearing it should be a preety good crowd of folks anyway. See Ya............. :doorag:

greaseball, BillW and me. Weather was awesome! Ride was great except those Southern MD roads sure are rough on the kidneys. :D Met a stray 109er along the way. It was great to meet some more fellow good guys from this forum.

These retired vets really liked our "spacebikes"... :a18:

It was nice to finally meet up with Seapup. I think we had a god ride or atleast I did. Some of the rodes were pretty rough like Seapup said, I think my kidney's are still recovering from a bump I hit some where around Clinton. We did get to some Amish selling there goods at an outdoor market and some were going down the road in there horse drawn buggies. It was a beautiful day for a ride.

 It was truly a great day for a ride. It was good to also meet seapup and I'm sure eventually I will get to ride with others. I do want to mention that most road here in Southern Md. are good roads to ride on but the closer you get to D.C. they become more traveled upon, such as those we were on in Clinton. So don't get discouraged if you see another post for a ride down here.

Does she ride well? We got caught up behind a couple Saturday that couldn't ride. They should still be in empty parking lots learning and not out on the streets. I hope they learn real soon because if they don't they will end up getting hurt. When are you going to bring her out so we can tell her all about you?
