Going to be installing the sideburners on my 109 next week. Is a 09 le and already has the power commander v as well as heal tech installed. Have been reading posts here and have questions lol. Do I go ahead and remove the set valve now, turn off the fi light as well, and do I need to install the oxygen sensor adapters the fit on the end of those wires. I know a lot to ask but if I want to do this right the first time this is the group to ask, and thanks in advance for the help.

I don't have a pcv. I've got the cobra PowrPro. No oxygen sensors. But as far as the stock exhaust, I unplugged the set actuator and left it all attached to the exhaust. Then pull the wire on the PCM. Grey plug. Pin #7. That will keep you from getting an FI light from the set. Maybe someone else can chime in on the other part.

did you buy a US model bike ? you shouldnt have O2 sensors bro....but if your going to install them, did you get the sideburners version with the bungs in them ? if you did, then just wait and do it all at once.
taking care of that wire on the ecm is an easily done 8 minute job, 10 seconds of which is actually pushing the wire out of the connector.

When you pull the exhaust it should look like this:

Just leave the cables, actuator and all attached to the stock exhaust.

i installed a sideburner this week on my uk spec m1800r, left the set valve attached to exhaust and pulled wire out of ecu, disconnected o2 sensors, runs ok no F1 issues but it was popping and backfiring on decelleration so i clamped the pipes gong to the pair valves, runs lik a dream now.

its easy, simple,no problemo !...throw the little set valve metal thingy that somes with the sideburner away.

now that your exhaust is installed and the bike runs, you may notice a loss of power or popping on deceleration, if either is occurring you will want to install a fuel manager to add fuel to the system...people are selling thier old fuel managers all over the place so you can pick one of those up cheap

Really stupid question, but after pulling the wire, did you plug the connector back into the ecu?

“C21” (P0110-H/L) IAT SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
INSPECTION
Step 1 (When indicating C21:)
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Remove the fuel tank. (#6-3)
3) Check the IAT sensor coupler for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then measure the IAT sensor voltage at the wire side
coupler.
4) Disconnect the coupler and turn the ignition switch ON.
5) Measure the voltage between Dg wire terminal
A and
ground.
6) If OK, then measure the voltage between Dg wire terminal
A
and B/Br wire terminal
B.

No. If you ride the bike with an FI light, most times it will put the bike into limp mode. You wont' be able to rev higher then a few thousand rpm's. Strange that it popped that code. Have you had the tank off for any reason?

Rode the bike 80 miles round trip tonight. Ran perfect no issues. The light is still on with same code21. Called dealer ,they think the code popped for whatever reason but is a stored code that need to be reset. Bike revs, idles and run fine. This is a 09 le that I brought in April still in crate so has warranty still on it. Even though I have put the pc v on it and gi pro as well as sideburners they will still honor the warranty, pretty good guys there. And I too think it was strange to pop a code for air temp sensor but we shall see I guess.
