The bias in this report is amazing!!! Take away the subject and look at the questions and how they are pointed. He doesn't even give her a chance to respond while letting the developer speak at his own will. This is a battle of good versus evil and CBS is telling you who the good is rather than letting you decide from the facts.

AND!!! if the developers response wasn't practiced I don't know what is!!!:o (3:56 in the vid) What a joke!! With this low caliber reporting, no wonder there are sooo many people that have no idea what they are talking about.

You can try to say that I support Geller(I have never read or heard of her before this) but what I wrote was about how the journalism was done. There lies the problem.:confused:

60 Minutes- claims to be journalists but you can openly tell the journalism is skewed.

Glenn beck- is not a journalist but a commentator that offers background information and some sort of foundation for his argument. His "Proof" is that of their "own words", board positions these people have held or held together, or associations by these groups websites or donations that link them to each other. Everything is open knowledge. (As some comedians say, "You just can't make this stuff up.")

So my question would be why is GB the nut when he offers proof that the very people involved admit to it, but when 60 Minutes is blatantly pulling BS, they are the saviors of America?

My question is

1) who owns the property

2) Honestly, ask yourself the question remembering we LIVE in the USA. Can you do what you want, with your property?

I know I go against the "popular" grain with this. But I strongly believe in the constitution, and I believe in the property rights of the individual who owns their property.

This also means the preacher who wants to burn whatever he wants to burn on his property is free to do so.

You want to build a mosque, or whatever, it's your property, feel free to do so.

The second the government can step in and tell you what you can and can NOT do on YOUR own property, it's a sad state of affairs.

Just thoughts to ponder before getting worked up over the "issues"

The great thing about our country is we are not baghdad, and we have our property rights....

Just so I clear up any confusion, I don't think that the government should be involved with the Mosque. There are only two scenarios where I would support government intervention and these are very thin:

1. that the area since an attack was on our soil was declared a battle zone and the government was in control of the properties for the time being. Then this would open the question of why are they still in charge of it so almost not a possibility.
2. Local government(NewYorkers) should be the only one's involved. Only then if the city and state government can't address the problem to both parties(those NY'ers for and those NY'ers against.) likings, only then should the Feds step in.

Those are the only two involvements that I can think of. But you are correct Vapiper.:bigthumbsup:

I am perplexed that so many of my friends are against a mosque being built near Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant.
The mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That is why I also propose that two gay nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance within the mosque.
We could call the Clubs "The Turban Cowboy" and "You Mecca Me So Hot."

Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and have an open BBQ with spare ribs as its daily special.

Across the street, a very daring lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret" with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.

Next door to the lingerie shop, there would be room for an Adult Toy Shop, called "All Ah Need," in flashing neon lights.

OK,a group of men of the Islamic religion hijacked airplanes and flew them into 2 buildings in NY and 1 into the pentagon and the other crashed into a field.the result of their actions resulted in the death of arround 3,000 Americans.this was an attack on all Americans not just NY'ers if that was a valid point then only NY'ers should be fighting the people responsible.so as an American affected by these peoples actions I say absolutely not should they be able to build a mosque any where near the site they attacked and at the risk of sounding radical I say nowhere in this country.these are hard facts not derived from beck or fox or any other media.you riders can argue on just remember A HOUSE DIVIDED CANNOT STAND,just sayin
