Off to an Iron Butt this Saturday
Seat's more than broken in already, but I've never done more than 600 miles in a day, so doing the 1000 mile Iron Butt this weekend should be a good test!

Good luck with that one:bigthumbsup:
I've done two runs to the lake where my inlaws live (approx 200 mi.) and all I can say is "I NEED A F**KIN GEL SEAT!!!" You've done 600 mi. before!?:o you sir, are a stronger man than I:bigthumbsup: I can't do more than 200 at a time aparently. gel seat is my next investment.

Oddly enough, it's my back (between the shoulder blades) that gets sore, not so much my arse.
It's a signal that I need risers.
My tail bone gets irritated, but the seat's wide enough to adjust on the fly

Good luck, I've put gel seats and risers on my 9 but after a few hrs it feels like someone has a knife in between the shoulder blades. Let us know how you make out.

Just remember that the Gel Seat is not actually a "Softer" seat but it has a hell of a lot more support for your backside. I have the standard cut and It made the seat feel like it was molded for my butt

Finished the Iron Butt at 01:00 this morning, came home, slept for 7 hours and went out on another 300 miler.
It wasn't 1/2 as bad as I expected it to be.
Found a new appreciation for the floorboards - when my tailbone got sore from sitting, I rested my weight on my feet and stiffened my legs to raise me off the seat for a few minutes at a time.
It gives a nice break.
We left at 3am Sat morning and did 1720 km (1068 mi) in 22 hrs.
This morning when I sat on the bike it felt like I hadn't even been riding yesterday!
