M90 exhaust

I am thinking about drilling some holes in the end of my exhaust. I have read many post on the M109 and C109. Some were complaining about their bikes running lean when doing this. Has anyone done this on the 90? How would you rate the sound? I want it louder than stock, but not as loud as a debaffled pipe.

edit: i think i was the first to drill the bafflesthen removed them on the m90 boards, i do have a back fire . have a fi2000r on the way maybe that might get rid of it..

Did you have a backfire with just the holes drilled? As you probably have figured out, I am trying to convince myself to drill holes in my brand new bike.

Yeah i got a backfire upon idle, never backs fires while in higher rpms or when actually riding..
the backfires arnt loud , it just sound soft burst of air every once in a while.

to my knowledge drilling of the baffle pipes does not void the warranty.

Question for you guys...I've never looked into this as the question has never come up but does the M90 have PAIR Valves like the M109? Thanks.

I have no idea. I am not the type to do much stuff on the bike on my own. What can I say, I'm a school teacher!:dontknow:

i drilled mine out with 6 holes in each.. i did like the fact the pipes made some noise..although a bit raspy. but within a week later i decided to gut them 100% and i've never looked back.. they are so much better sounding.. and, the other day i let a friend ride my bike up the road for the fist time.. and the sound was even better.. it was AMAZING every body i know talks about how gorgeous my bike sounds..
