My M90 has 600 miles already, i did my first oil and filter change today, i used Suzuki 10w-40 oil and OEM filter.

I put exactly 3.2 quarts of oil into it, don't forget to clean the draing plug magnet very well before screwing it back on.

I hope it didn't have the crazy oil change procedure that the 109 has. Did you have to run it for 15 minutes then shut it off for 3 minutes, while holding the bike up, to check the oil?

Not at all Zoom, after i was done i just checked the level while my brother was sitting on the bike, it was fine so i went riding. :P

Isn't that the craziest thing you ever heard? Who thought of that anyway? :dontknow:

Cool! Got that "I've gotta ride slow for 600 miles during break-in" thing out of the way. Now it's time to twist the throttle and hold on for dear life! :D

How are you liking the ride? Have you been able to get out with others? I know you guys have had some cold days too but I thought the temps were supposed to go back up today.

This weekend i put 120 miles on it, yes i went out with some friends, it has a great lean angle for aggressive turns, i love it, i will post some videos soon of how i smoked some other guys riding sport bikes. :hot:

You don't have to do the 15/3 on the M90 (15 minute warm up, 3 minutes standing vertically to check the oil level properly).

The M90 has a more common wet sump lubrication system instead of the semi-dry sump of the M109.

I was double checking that everything was still okay after 120 miles since he didn't have to do the oil checking proceedue(15/3) on the M90. That's cool that Zuki didn't add that proceedure to the M90.:bigthumbsup:That is one thing that think most 109 riders would love to do without.

Oh i get it, thanks.

As mentioned above, since the M90 has a singular wet sump engine design the old "hot check" for oil level isn't necessary. Suzuki actually suggests that this motor be "cold" when you replace the engine oil. Quite literally, here's the steps...

(1) Open oil drain plug
(2) Drain old oil
(2) Replace oil filter
(3) Close oil drain plug
(4) Fill case with new oil

There's no second guessing on these bikes. Hmmm...maybe there were too many complaints about the semi-dry sump engine designs...of course, then again, they still came out with the C109!!! Take care guys.
